Shared Server State Dump
Oracle Shared Server was called Oracle Multithreaded Server in Oracle8i Database and prior versions. Diagnosing the uncommon errors related to shared servers (such as process deadlocks) may warrant mtsstate or shared server state dumps, depending on the version of the database.
Syntax
Following methods show how to produce the shared server state dump.
Using ALTER SESSION
The first ALTER SESSION command below produces an immediate shared server state dump at level 10, while the second ALTER SESSION command produces the shared server state dump at level 1 when the session encounters ORA-0060 error.
