LIZ VARLOW IS A VIOLA PLAYER with the London Symphony Orchestra and winner of the prestigious Frink Award. She was born in Birmingham, England, and started playing the violin at the age of 8. She won two scholarships to the Royal College of Music, and went on to win numerous prizes. Fellow musicians describe her as a very fine musician who has developed her musical sensitivity to the highest levels. What sets her apart even further is that she is profoundly deaf.
