Calendar’s Option Settings
Synopsis
Calendar’s option settings begin on the Tools → Options → Preferences tab shown in Figure 7-2.

Under "Customize the appearance of the Calendar” you’ll find the setting for reminders. Selecting this option adds a default reminder to all new Calendar items. Next to this is a drop-down list for selecting the time in advance of the activity a reminder displays. You can choose from this list, or type a time of your choosing. See More Date (and Time) Entry Shortcuts later in this chapter for tips on shortcut time field entries.
Clicking Calendar Options opens the dialog shown in Figure 7-3, where you find most Calendar configuration options; each option is described in the sections that follow.

Calendar Work Week
At the top of the Calendar Options dialog is a section to configure your “Calendar work week.” Selections here have a large impact on how many of Calendar’s views are laid out, and how several important drag-and-drop features function, so consider your options carefully:
