Toning plays a vital role in translating each photographer's visual intent into a concrete reality. Alterations in the color and contrast relationships of a print can dramatically change the aesthetic and emotional responses to the work.
Processing Controls
When working with black-and-white materials, the following four factors play key roles in determining the final color of the photograph:
