SO MUCH OF WHAT I’VE TALKED ABOUT to this point has been very literal. We’ve discussed language in descriptive terms, but not all expression is so literal or descriptive—least of all photographic expression. There is incredible latitude in the tools of our craft to pursue abstracts or impressionism. “Impressions I, II, and III” were made to explore these possibilities.
