Porting databases to PostgreSQL is a comparatively easy task because PostgreSQL offers great flexibility and a variety of embedded languages that can be used to model functions that are not natively supported by PostgreSQL.
For porting MySQL databases to PostgreSQL, a converter can be used. In the case of Oracle databases, you can use ora2pg.
