Modal Analysis of Power Systems with Interconnected Generators

In this chapter, small-signal stability analysis of interconnected generators in a power system is presented. To understand the performance of such a complex non-linear power system, a multi-mass spring system is analysed for its different natural modes by performing eigenvalue analysis and is further validated by a time–domain simulation.
