Chapter 4. Inserting Charts

You can create a wide variety of two- and three-dimensional charts in PowerPoint such as Area, Bar, Column, Line, Pie, Doughnut, Stock, and Cone. This chapter concentrates on the types that have axes. Chapter 6 covers pie and doughnut charts.

When you create charts in PowerPoint, you actually use the Microsoft Graph program.

In Graph, you'll notice that the toolbar offers buttons specific to graphing, and the menu bar contains two new options—Data and Chart.

Launching Graph

You can open Microsoft Graph from within PowerPoint. Here's how.
