Appendix AGICSP Objective Map
The Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) Exam is a vendor-neutral Industrial Control System Security certification designed to bridge IT cybersecurity with industrial control networking environments. The objectives of the exam are aimed at assessing the candidate to ensure that they possess a minimum level of knowledge to function successfully in an operating technology/industrial control system (OT/ICS), engineering, cybersecurity job role. The certification meets the requirements of the US Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.0.1 Information Assurance Workforce Improvement program. It is also approved for the DoD's CND-A, CND-IS, and IAT Level II workforce categories.
The exam is administered and delivered by the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) certification arm of the SANS Institute, an organization that specializes in information and cybersecurity training.
The GICSP is a single exam comprised of 115 questions. There is a time limit of three hours to complete the exam, and a minimum score of 71 percent is required for passage. The exams are delivered by proctored Pearson VUE testing centers and must be scheduled in advance. Scheduling can be performed using the instructions found at:

This certification is valid for four years and must be renewed before that point to remain valid. The topics covered in the GICSP exam are listed in the next section.
