So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The good news is that not much has changed in Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 in how you need to handle Remote Data. The only change is that the package needed to consume Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and OData (Open Data Protocol) has been updated (see www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39373).
