Tanto si eres investigador, analista o científico de datos, lo más probable es que en algún momento hayas tenido que vadear océanos de documentos para encontrar la información que buscabas. Para colmo, Google y Bing te recuerdan constantemente que existen mejores formas de buscar. En este ejemplo, Google recuperó primero unos 319.000 documentos que eran relevantes para la consulta, y después realizó un paso de procesamiento adicional para extraer el fragmento de respuesta con el pasaje y la página web correspondientes. No es difícil ver por qué son útiles estos fragmentos de respuesta. Por ejemplo, si buscamos una pregunta más complicada como "¿Qué afinación de guitarra es la mejor?" Google no proporciona una respuesta, y en su lugar tenemos que hacer clic en una de las páginas web devueltas por el motor de búsqueda para encontrarla nosotros mismos.1
