Chapter 11Animations and Navigation
This chapter shows you how to use Unity’s animation and navigation systems. In this chapter, you’ll create an app called AnimatedHumanoid (see Figure 11-1) that features an animated version of Ethan, the humanoid model from Chapter 9. The app’s scene will contain a floor, platform, and steps. You will create an animation to enable Ethan to walk across the floor and even use audio clips that synchronize with Ethan’s footsteps while he is walking. You will then apply a navigation system to enable Ethan to climb the steps and avoid other obstacles. After you create the AnimatedHumanoid app, you will learn how to create custom animations.
