This chapter presented information about Perl arrays and hashes. We studied many kinds of array functions, including those that create arrays, such as split and splice, and those that return them, such as sort and reverse. We also studied the purposes of hashes and some useful hash functions, such as keys and values. Finally, we gave some examples of applications areas where a hash provides the best solution to a problem.
