11.2 Bears and Fish
Yellowstone National Park is one of the most famous natural places in the United States. People have been visiting this park for many years hoping to see the Old Faithful geyser, the Yellowstone River waterfalls, and, of course, the bears.
For years, it was common to see bears along roads and in park campgrounds. Unfortunately, many tourists failed to realize that these great creatures were actually wild and decidedly dangerous. Even with laws to prevent curious humans from feeding the bears, many of the bears had to be relocated. The hope was to reacquaint bears with their natural food sources and, at the same time, to reduce the number of injuries to humans.
