When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What’s Next
You’re definitely ready to go out and try pytest with your own projects. If you’ve kept up with most of the book, good job. There is a lot of material here. If you also went through the code examples yourself and did the exercises, I dare say that you are well above average in pytest knowledge. Pat yourself on the back. Unless that hurts, then don’t do that; have someone else pat you on the back gently.
pytest is not a static tool. It’s a dynamic project with lots of amazing people volunteering to keep it great and add features. I recommend keeping in touch. I will continue to write about pytest and software development, testing, and related topics on my blog, pythontest.com,[68] and talk about it on my podcasts, Test & Code[69]
