I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Command Syntax Conventions
The conventions used to present command syntax in this book are the same conventions used in the IOS Command Reference. The Command Reference describes these conventions as follows:
• Boldface indicates commands and keywords that are entered literally as shown. In actual configuration examples and output (not general command syntax), boldface indicates commands that are manually input by the user (such as a show command).
• Italics indicate arguments for which you supply actual values.
• Vertical bars (|) separate alternative, mutually exclusive elements. Note, however, that the vertical bar (pipe operand) is also used to filter command-line interface command output; in that scenario, the operand (|) precedes the
