Appendix B. Linear algebra

Developers using the Strange APIs can benefit from quantum computing without having to deal with linear algebra. If you want to understand what is going on under the hood, some basic knowledge of linear algebra is required. Throughout this book, we try to minimize the dependencies on linear algebra. The computations we use fall into three categories: matrix-vector multiplication, matrix-matrix multiplication, and tensor multiplication. By no means should this appendix be considered an introduction to linear algebra; we simply explain matrix-vector multiplication, matrix-matrix multiplication, and tensor multiplication, as you may be interested in validating the results of your quantum circuits.
