I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About the Author
Vishaal B. Bhuyan has over five years of experience in the longevity and mortality risk markets. Vishaal has advised a number of large investment funds on life settlements, and more recently on reverse mortgages.
Mr. Bhuyan has been invited to speak at various life settlement and reverse mortgage conferences in addition to general hedge fund conferences across the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is the editor and co-author of Life Markets: Trading Mortality and Longevity Risk with Life Settlements and Linked Securities (2009, John Wiley & Sons) and author of The Esoteric Investor (2011, FT Press).
Vishaal has developed proprietary pricing and asset management technologies to create efficiency in the investing and trading of life settlements and has developed a streamlined origination process to generate high risk-adjusted returns for investors that addresses many of the risks present in the asset class.
Vishaal has been featured/quoted in, or contributed to: Trader Monthly, Investment Dealers Digest, The Life Settlement Report, The Reverse Mortgage Report, and Roubini Global Economics Monitor.
Vishaal graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 with a BA in the History and Sociology of Science.
