So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
FOREWORD
The RIBA Job Book was first published in 1969, so is now 50 years old. The pace of change has been increasing in that time, fuelled by advancing technology, and this tenth edition reflects the transformations in practice, procurement and legislation since the previous edition, as well as recent adjustments to the RIBA Plan of Work and the rapid growth of BIM and modern methods of construction.
In its major overhaul in 2013, the RIBA Plan of Work was designed to be sufficiently robust to accommodate future changes in practice and procurement and the revised 2020 version maintains the broad format while making some alterations to nomenclature and clarifying stage outcomes and activities.
