Congratulations, you've reached the end of Rails' Philosophy 101. More seriously, Rails' MVC architecture, its culture, and development philosophies are fundamental parts of the framework and it was worth spending time exploring them further to truly "understand Rails."

Now that you are equipped with enough background information, you can start digging into the Ruby language in the next two chapters, as well as creating a sample Rails application in Chapters 5 and 6.
