If you want to wow your friends (or your boss) with a few neat tricks, then look no further than this chapter! Here, you find out how to use some of the function keys that give you some great shortcuts – for example, the copy key (F6), which speeds up processing no end, and F7, which can get you out of a tight spot if you need to insert an extra line somewhere (particularly useful if you’ve missed a line of information from the middle of a journal). Read on to find out more.
Browsing for Help with F1
Pressing F1 launches the help system. The system is intelligent enough to know which part of the system you’re working in and displays the Help screens most suited to your needs. In doing so, it saves you having to scroll through the Help index list to find the appropriate section. For example, if you’re in the Batch Entry screen for suppliers, pressing the F1 key brings up a Help screen related to entering purchase invoices.
