HTML 4 is an ambitious attempt to meet the needs of Web developers worldwide, both casual and professional. XHTML 1 is a reformulation of HTML 4 as an XML 1 application, allowing extensions to the language to be more easily defined and implemented. This appendix provides a quick reference to all the elements and attributes of HTML 4/XHTML 1.
