Believe it or not, there was a time not so long ago when the notion of a game other than Solitaire on Windows was considered a joke. I should know because during that same time period I was attempting to get a job as a game programmer who specialized in Windows games. I knew it was only a matter of time before DOS went away and games had to migrate to Windows, but back then no one wanted to think about it. So I found work elsewhere.
