So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

To practice using REST APIs, you’ll need a playground. On the following pages, you’ll find APIs that you can try out for free (although some only free to a limited extent):
To simulate a real API in a straightforward way, you can use WireMock (https://wiremock.org). Basically, WireMock is an open-source project. However, the use of the associated cloud service is only free of charge with major restrictions and is aimed more at large companies that want to test APIs away from productive operation.
