I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to use Extent Reports in code?
To use Extent Reports in code, follow the following steps:
- Create ExtentReports and ExtentTest objects as extentReport and extentTest respectively.
- Instantiate the ExtentReports object: extentReport = new ExtentReports (System.getProperty("user.dir") +"/test-output/SampleReport.html", true);.
- Add other details and load the configuration file. The config file is optional:
extentReport .addSystemInfo("Host Name", "SampleHostName") .addSystemInfo("Environment", "Demo") .addSystemInfo("User Name", "Pinakin Chaubal"); extent.loadConfig(new File(System.getProperty("user.dir")+"\\extent-config.xml"));.
- Start the test using extentTest = extentReport.startTest("Test1");.
- Log the result using extentTest.log(LogStatus.PASS, ...
