	Introduction

We are pleased to introduce the paperback edition of a book that has become even more relevant to the business community since its first publication in 1999. Or perhaps we should say the relevance of the book is more obvious today, with the successes of the Marine Corps in the snowy mountains of Afghanistan and the baking deserts of Iraq.
