Throughout this book, specific examples are used to explore the challenges and benefits of designing service-oriented applications. The case study presented in this chapter provides a basis for the discussion in the rest of this book. This chapter doesn’t implement and discuss every service that this application could contain, but it gives some good areas to focus on.
