Chapter 8. The Path Forward
In December 2007, CIO Magazine surveyed 250 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) from a variety of businesses and asked them what their top 10 priorities were for 2008. The results of this survey were nothing short of depressing. The reason is simple: the top seven of the 10 priorities are all fundamentally misguided. The chances of successfully addressing any of these issues using current approaches have virtually no chance of success.
