Abstract
Improvement of life in urban areas requires continuous development where integrated policies are implemented by interoperable, safe, and secure technological innovations. Potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain is recognized by public administration to solve local community problems. Innovative perspective is offered by blockchain for smart cities organization which was perceived initially with Bitcoin—the crypto currency. It also offers an economic model which is more transparent for resource management. This chapter focuses on involvement of AI and blockchain for the contribution of smart cities development to form smart city ecosystem. This model of smart city ecosystem is based on authentication of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) model involving smart contracts between citizens, administrators, and entities.
