It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Snowflake includes several optimization features, such as the metadata cache, the query result cache, the virtual warehouse cache, and partition pruning, that Snowflake automatically uses to optimize performance. Snowflake also provides additional performance capabilities that can be manually configured to improve performance. These capabilities include scaling up and down a virtual warehouse or autoscaling a virtual warehouse to accommodate increased concurrency.
