In the previous sections, I presented some of the most common design patterns.
In addition to the design patterns, however, their opposites, called anti-patterns, also emerged. This term describes procedures and solutions that are frequently used but have proven to be inefficient, problematic, or counterproductive. Anti-patterns are like errors in the construction plan of a house, which often arise due to insufficient knowledge, experience, or time pressure.
The issues caused by anti-patterns usually manifest themselves in the form of increased maintenance effort, poor performance, or complex code.
