It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Parts I through IV of this book have dealt with the technical, organizational, and business perspectives on software architecture. In this part, we turn our attention to emerging technologies. We have often been asked whether principles or technology is more important, and the answer, of course, is “Yes, they are both important.” Principles have a long lifetime; technology that affects architects tends to change every decade or so.
