It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The common method of sharing a workbook is to email the workbook. You can easily do this from within Excel. Microsoft increasingly realizes that you might be using Excel as the preferred tool for business intelligence, and that you might be distributing the output of your worksheet in non-Excel platforms.
