The Model View Controller pattern (MVC pattern) is a J2EE design pattern. It was first introduced by Trygve Reenskaug in his own project to separate the different components of the application. That time, he used this pattern on a desktop-based application. The main approach of this pattern is to promote the separation of concerns principle of the software industry.
