SQL Server runs on any platform you need, ground to cloud to fabric. Regardless of where you run SQL Server, a common solution for our customers is to connect SQL Server to the cloud, wherever SQL Server is running. The primary method to connect SQL Server to the cloud is to connect your deployments to Azure through Azure Arc. Azure Arc–connected SQL Server deployments are the Microsoft definition for a hybrid SQL Server.
