It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

SQL Server is in my blood. I’ve been working now with every version of SQL Server that has shipped since SQL Server 1.0 on OS/2 with just a few diskettes. To see the product blossom to what it is today is nothing short of a dream for me. This book is a testament to that dream. To write about a product that honors the tradition of decades of work on an industry-proven database engine combined with the innovation of the latest in technology is an incredible story. A story that deserves to be told. I hope I give it justice in this book. I built this book specifically for those who already know the fundamentals of SQL Server.
