So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Ever since I bought my first computer, a Commodore Vic-20, I have been continuously learning new computer languages. I cannot count the number of computer languages that I have learned over the years. Even when I was working as a network engineer and security specialist, I learned languages such as Perl, Python, and Shell scripting to automate administrative tasks. Learning all those languages has taught me that the best way to learn a new programming language or a programming paradigm is to come up with several small projects and figure out how to implement them in the language or programming paradigm that I was trying to learn.
