Configure Parallels Desktop Preferences
Parallels Desktop offers a great many opportunities for customization. The settings that affect the app as a whole are configured in the Preferences window. (In the next chapter, Configure Your Virtual Machine Settings, we’ll look at an even longer list of settings you can adjust for each virtual machine.)
There are several ways to open the Preferences window; the only slightly tricky thing is that the standard menu command and its associated keyboard shortcut won’t work when a virtual machine is running in the foreground.
To display the Parallels Desktop Preferences window, do any of the following:
- With the Control Center (or Parallels Wizard) window in the foreground, choose Parallels Desktop > Preferences ...
