Designing and Assembling a Catapult
In this chapter, we will engage with another practical application to test our skills in 3D modeling and 3D printing, albeit with different challenges than what we have faced previously as we will create a mini-catapult! Like the last chapter, the pieces we create in this design will need to fit together, but as we strive to create a new product here, these pieces must combine a variety of fits and tolerances in order to function correctly. These activities will be broken down into the following topics:
- Designing the frame
- Creating an assembly system
- Creating the projectile system
