Organizing Your Life
To help you keep your daily life organized, your MacBook includes the Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, and Maps apps. macOS synchronizes your data for these and other apps through Apple’s iCloud online service, which you access through your Apple Account, your unified account for Apple devices, services, and purchases.

Manage Your Apple Account and iCloud Account
Your Apple Account is your personal account for accessing Apple’s services, from iCloud to the iTunes store and from FaceTime to iMessage. Your MacBook uses your Apple Account for authentication, authorization, and payments on Apple’s services, so you should make sure your Apple Account information is accurate. You can do so by working in the Apple Account pane in the System Settings app.
