So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

DVE: Digital video effect equipment, working with the switcher, is used to create special effects between video images. A DVE could also refer to the actual effect.
DSLR: A still camera (digital single-lens reflex camera) that shoots video, allowing the photographer to see the image through the lens that will capture the image.
Linear editing: The copying, or dubbing, of segments from the master tape to another tape in sequential order.
New media: Any media that is made available for on-demand delivery. For instance, programming available online would be considered “new media.”
