There are many books on Internet security. Rather than provide an exhaustive list, I have tried to select books that readers are likely to find particularly useful.
Secrets and Lies, Bruce Schneier, Wiley (August 14, 2000)
When I first read Secrets and Lies, I found it difficult to understand why Bruce described his realization that security was a process of risk mitigation and not risk elimination as an epiphany. It was something that many of us had been saying for years. Later when I reread it, I realized that this was the problem: It is easy to talk about risk management, but much harder to apply it.
