Notes on Ontology of Organized Crime

Organized crime exists in the political economy, whether analyzed locally, regionally, or globally. Due to specific state-related factors that allow its parasitic influence to grow extralegally and cross-border, organized crime is a species of social pestilence, primarily benefiting a few ruthless individuals steeped in anarchy while harming or presenting a significant risk of harm to almost everyone else it contacts.
