When I was a kid, my favorite movie was Back to the Future. I just loved thinking about how great life would be knowing what was going to happen before it occurred, and how exciting and easy and worry-free everything would be simply by knowing the future in advance. In the movie Back to the Future, the antagonist, Biff, uses the Grays Sports Almanac that he brings back from the future to know the final score for every sporting event before being played, allowing him to become a multimillionaire by betting on the certain winner.
