Chapter 10

Mac OS X Tips and Tricks

Introduction

We’ve finally arrived at the final chapter of the book. And it’s here we discuss all those tidbits and hints useful to Mac hackers. These include tools, plugins, applications, and other errata that didn’t fit so easily into the previous chapters. With that in mind, this chapter will be a bit more “free flow” as we move through the material.

We’ll do our best to break things up into broad categories, but it’s still a mish mash of information and hints. Some of the items presented in this chapter may not be specific to Mac OS X, such as the Web browser plugins. But these are still tools that work well for Mac hackers, and are things that should be considered.
