By now, you likely understand the many hats the iPhone wears: Internet communicator, music and video player, camera, camcorder, compass, picture viewer, personal information organizer, and pocket computer. But you can’t ignore the word phone in its name. Without its ability to make and receive voice calls, text and multimedia messages, and FaceTime video calls, it would be little more than a miniature iPad. In this chapter, I focus on these phone-y tasks.
