While I admire your desire to learn more about your iPod by purchasing this little guide, my guess is that before you delve too deeply into this book, you’d like to actually use your iPod. That’s what this chapter is for—getting you up and running as quickly as possible. Here are the steps to take:
OPEN THE BOX.
After you’ve ripped the wrapping off your iPod, try turning it on. If it recently came from the factory, it could be charged and nearly ready to play.
To switch on any iPod except the iPod shuffle, press and hold the bottom of the wheel where you see the triangle and two parallel lines. If the iPod is charged, it should display an Apple logo after a few seconds and then be ready to roll in about 30 seconds. If nothing happens ...
