I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
1. Meet the iPod
My guess is that you wouldn’t be reading these words if an iPod weren’t already part of your life—or weren’t soon to be part of your life. Congratulations. You’ve chosen to ally yourself with the world’s most popular and—in my humble opinion—finest portable music player.
Oh, sure, there have been pretenders to the throne, countless “iPod killers” that on closer examination proved to be nothing more than less-capable and less-stylish wannabes. Despite multiple attempts to diminish its dominance, the iPod remains It—the music player to own.
And now that you do, it’s time to become better acquainted with your multimedia buddy. To get started, let’s tour the various iPod models and rummage around in the iPod’s box.
