CHAPTER 10 TEXTURE: INK & COLOR

Texture is the three-dimensional topographical change within the bounds of a surface. Some surface textures have deep and high spots and others are more subtle. Textures are found on many objects to varying degrees and often can contextualize an object and its use. You can even use texture to imply the nature of an object. For example, an object or product that is rugged may have a particular texture in key parts as opposed to one that is geared toward everyday use.
