Part II. Practice

The chapters in Part II, Practice, offer numerous suggestions for ways to improve your code. The advice here mostly cuts across languages, abstractions, and development methodologies. Chances are very good that you already apply some or most of these practices. But, even if you fastidiously manage the life cycle of your objects (good citizenship), you might still see a new solution here. Feel free to skim or even skip chapters if you think you already have something covered. But, fair warning: I occasionally throw in some surprises, just to keep you on your toes.
